Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy

1. Introduction

WATAN USA respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), WATAN USA will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our website https://watan-usa.org/ that are properly reported to our designated agent.

2. Reporting Claims of Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on our website, please submit a written notice to our designated agent (contact information provided above) with the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  2. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, along with sufficient information to allow us to locate the material.

  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Failure to provide all of the above information may result in a delay in processing your complaint.

3. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that material you posted on our website was removed or access to it was disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent containing the following information:

  1. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in which your address is located (or in Alexandria, VA, if your address is outside the United States) and that you will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original infringement notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a counter-notification, WATAN USA may forward it to the party who submitted the original copyright complaint. If the original complainant does not file a lawsuit within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material.

4. Repeat Infringers

WATAN USA reserves the right to terminate the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. A user may be considered a repeat infringer if they have been the subject of multiple copyright infringement complaints.

5. Modifications to This Policy

WATAN USA reserves the right to modify this DMCA policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
